The moon tells the sky,
Lemn Sissay
The sky tells the sea,
The sea tells the tide,
And the tide tells me.
A GIFT SHARED IS MULTIPLIED
Pugglebrook is made from the kindness, wisdom, and inspiration shared with us by a community of creatives far and wide, and it embodies the love and legacy of the many artisans in our families.
THE FIRST ARTISTS AND STORYTELLERS
With deep gratitude, we acknowledge the Traditional Owners locally and throughout Tasmania, and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future. We hope you will take the time to learn more about their legacy, outreach, and love for community and Country here.
WEBSITE AND LOGOS
Alex Rutherford of Aleco Creative nurtured the development of Pugglebrook to the celebration of spirit and place it is today. Her tech brilliance and sensitivity to design and voice are imprinted on each page. The current site inherited the warmth, generosity, and inspiration of the KingsDesign Hobart team, who brought the very first version of Pugglebrook and its wild and wonderful logos (with artist Brody Page) to life. We remain ever-grateful for each person’s contribution from the first day to now.
FEATURED ARTISTS
The current Pugglebrook site (2022-2023) features the whimsical illustrations of Bukhavets Mikhail, particularly his collections Watercolor Landscapes and Winter. Post feature images are the works of conceptual artist fran_kie, surrealist photographer Cristina Conti, and digital painter Archv. Their ability to capture nature, solitude, emotion, and landscape as one might see/feel it in a memory or dream is simply unequalled.

GONE BEFORE
Thank you, Jack, for your disruption, funny faces, silly sounds, softest fur, stretchiest wrinkles, and most loving and precious heart under heaven. You are missed every minute. Thank you, Freya, for teaching us that true vision is seeing the soul, and for being the most wonderful mum to Ollie against all odds. You are deeply missed.
For Further Thought
- Did you know it is a scientific fact that gratitude is good for your health?
- What and/or whom are you thankful for today?
- When was the last time you told someone else how much you appreciate their role in your life or achievement?
